The Bee Gees receive a special award for "Outstanding Contribution to British
Music". Although it is a lifetime achievement award, they are at that point (still)
amongst the best-selling British artists at home and abroad.  In that same
year the group receives the "International Artists Award" at the American
Music Awards, the "Goldene Europa Award", The World Music Awards’
"Lifetime Achievement Award" and they are inducted into both The Australian
Music Hall of Fame and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
