The "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack and its lead single "How Deep Is Your
Love" are released. The double LP tops the charts globally for months, and
becomes the biggest selling soundtrack of all time with in excess of 40 million
copies sold. "How Deep Is Your Love" sets a trend by storming to the top of
the charts, just as the next five Bee Gees singles will do. It is their most covered
song and earns them a Grammy and an Ivor Novello Award. The second and
third singles, "Staying Alive" and "Night Fever" are equally successful.
