Recording sessions for Robin’s second solo album start as early as January 1970 and the last recordings are made in April. However, none of this work is released as Robin reunites with his brothers. There are some lost treasures here, such as “Sing Slowly Sisters”, which is amongst Robin’s best work. The sweeping melody, the World War I narrative, Robin’s melancholy singing and the excellent arrangement by Kenny Clayton blend together beautifully.
