Robin Hugh Gibb is born at the Jane Crookall Maternity Home in Douglas on
the Isle of Man, to mother Barbara and father Hugh Gibb, who is a drummer
and bandleader on the Island. About half an hour after Robin’s birth, twin
brother Maurice enters the world. They have one older sister, Lesley, born in
1945, and a brother, Barry, born in 1946. The youngest Gibb sibling, Andy,
was born in Manchester in 1958.
