This not-for-profit organisation that represents around three million creators and publishers of artistic works aims at increasing the recognition and protection of creators' rights worldwide.

Robin's Role: In June 2007 Robin Gibb was elected President of CISAC: "I hope that in my function as President I can portray the positive role which CISAC and its members play in enabling artists to earn a living from their creations. We have a positive message to give and I hope to play my part in getting that message more widely heard."

Since Robin's inauguration he has intervened in various countries to support creators and their rights. His speeches and letters attract the attention of the global media and have been crucial in blocking detrimental legislation. In his closing speech at the 2009 CISAC World Copyright Summit, he warned: "Copyright is not a barrier to progress. It is a facilitator of progress, creativity and communication.  The existence of strong copyright will not stifle the development of the digital utopia, which Google, Microsoft and others promise. Copyright will promote such development."

Robin has had a lifelong interest in his country's contribution to the rights and freedoms of Europe during the world wars and it was his childhood dream to one day create a memorial for the aircrews of Bomber Command. Not to glorify the horrors of war, but to remember, in order that no generation should ever have to endure again what took place in World War II.

The men of Bomber Command are the only World War II veterans whose sacrifice has never been officially recognized. Bomber Command consisted of more than125, 000 volunteers from all over the Commonwealth and Allied nations and their losses were greater than those of any other service. The average age of an aircrew was twenty-two.

Robin's Role: Robin has played a major role in raising awareness and funds for the campaign and thanks to his tireless efforts the completion of a memorial is getting nearer. Robin: "I've put my heart and soul into being a champion of this cause. These guys are heroes – they saved the world and they deserve the best. The whole world, including Germany, is free today because of these young men's sacrifice."

The memorial is due to be unveiled early 2012 at London's Green Park, adjacent to Buckingham Palace.

The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity that helps young people to have access to safe, adventurous experiences through which they can raise their self-esteem and realise their full potential. Outward Bound believe that we are all better than we know. If only we can be brought to realise this, we may never be prepared to settle for anything less.

Robin's Role: Robin became the first Ambassador of The Outward Bound Trust. Robin: "As children, my brothers and I constantly challenged each other and drove each other on to new adventures and achievements.  We discovered music together, teaching ourselves how to play our instruments and write our songs. Without knowing it at the time, we were immersed in the Outward Bound process of discovering our potential.

I have been enormously impressed by the work of The Trust. My intention is to increase the public's awareness of this work allowing us to reach new supporters and generate the funds for courses, which will inspire thousands of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds."

The Diana Award was founded in 1999 by the Diana Memorial Committee to act as a lasting legacy to Diana Princess of Wales’ belief in the power of young people to change the world. The Diana Award is presented to young people, aged between 9 and 18, from all circumstances and sections of society. Award Holders inspire the lives of others and are committed to taking social action; whether they work as volunteers, fundraisers, campaigners or carers or anyone who improves our community. So far 36,000 have received special recognition through the award schemes. The award encourages exceptional young people from across the UK and the world to continue building a better society for all.

Robin's Role: Robin Gibb is a Diana Award Ambassador.  He has presented Awards, amongst other places at Number 11 Downing Street.
